Hilton Head Relocation Specialists Moved by Local Soup Kitchens
Did you know that there have been four soup kitchens opened in and around Hilton Head within the last year? Your local professional movers are glad to know that there are people in Hilton Head who are so kind-hearted that they choose to spend their free time volunteering to feed the homeless, less-fortunate, and otherwise hungry individuals who frequent local soup kitchens. Campbell Church Soup Kitchen opened last week in Bluffton, and is the first in the city. Other local soup kitchen operations include Grateful Hearts Soup Kitchen at Holy Family Catholic Church, St. Andrews By-the-Sea, and St. James Baptist Church Community Soup Kitchen. Crowds as large as one hundred people have been accommodated which brings a smile to your Hilton Head movers’ faces!
High Tide Causes Sand to Move Away from Hilton Head Beaches
High tides and strong wind in October have caused quite a bit of beachfront erosion here in Hilton Head, and on Thursday the island experienced the highest tide of 2011 at a whopping nine feet high! If you have recently completed moving to Hilton Head, the recent news of beach land erosion may worry you a bit, but in actuality erosion is a normal part of being a barrier island. Just as sand moves away due to erosion, sand also gathers due to the natural ebb and flow of the elements. In other Hilton Head news, the area known as our island’s heel will soon undergo operations to replenish beach land. Roughly one million cubic yards of sand will be added to the beach as soon as this week; special equipment will be moved to the island’s heel soon so that work may begin. The project should be finished on or before February 15th, and will be very advantageous considering that erosion of the island’s heel causes 100 feet or so of sand to move away each year. Barrier island life sure is interesting, isn’t it?
Hilton Head Movers Give Honorable Mention to Local Avid Gardeners Club for Winning 2 Excellence Awards
The Avid Gardeners club of Hilton Head recently received two excellence awards from the National Garden Clubs Incorporated. The Avid Gardeners won first place in the “Pink Glove” category for the 2010 “Plant it Pink Garden,” which craftily utilizes pink planter pots along the borders of its Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon design. The garden has been cared for by members of the Avid Gardeners and was funded in part by donations from various Hilton Head businesses. Your Hilton Head moving professionals here were so moved by the “Plant it Pink Garden” that we’ve considered starting up a garden of our own; perhaps your relocation specialists here will win another award for Hilton Head!
The second of the two awards was presented to the Avid Gardeners for the “Korosi Vegetable and Herb Education Garden,” which was put together as a way for children to get involved with the Avid Gardener’s club and also to promote healthy eating habits among Hilton Head kids. Way to go, Avid Gardeners! Your Hilton Head professional movers can’t wait to see what kind of garden creations you all come up with next!
Carcinogen-Free Moving Services in Hilton Head?
A very serious cluster of reports has come to the surface recently, and as it rouses much concern from your Hilton Head mover here, I feel it is my duty to discuss the risks which most people virtually never consider despite the direct contact each of us likely has to these risks each day. The very serious risks are none other than carcinogens, and these carcinogens can come into contact with each of us in more ways than you could possibly imagine; nobody is safe.
It has long been suggested that cancer-causing carcinogens can infiltrate the body using your own cell phone as a gateway. However; studies have shown more and more carcinogenic culprits which move the level of concern higher than it has ever been for many concerned citizens. Carcinogens can occur from cigarette smoke, –of course– alcoholic beverages, and even gasoline vapors. Surprisingly they can also occur from peanut butter, dry cleaning products, and even working a night shift job! One would not be the least bit foolish to have his or her household items moved and stored in a decontamination facility so that worries of carcinogenic risk factors in the home may rest.
It is with immense pride and relief that I report another recent finding: You’re in good hands with us because this South Carolina moving company in Hilton Head has undergone studies suggesting that our professional relocation services show low to non-existent carcinogenic risk as opposed to other Hilton Head moving companies (which will remain un-named). As licensed and insured moving professionals, we take pride in knowing our shippers needn’t worry about a transitional experience with us on the job, and it feels great to further push the safety envelope by offering carcinogen-free, full service professional moving services for all!
